  My Mr. Lube (McPhillips) Experience:
  
  Just over one week ago, before setting out for a road trip, I decided to get an Oil Change at Mr. Lube (McPhillips) as I had done time and time again in the past.
  
  Upon pulling in, I had selected my regular synthetic change (although, I was advised differently), and was provided the oil change as requested-I assume. While the oil change was being completed, I was advised my rear differential fluid be changed (front was good, air filter was good). Despite the $10.00 discount offered, I declined as I have a regular mechanic which regularly services everything but the oil.
  
  I did however, request that a running light be changed at their regular rate of $29.99. It was more convenient, and safe, to have it done before we hit the road. An hour and fifteen minutes later, including a surprise additional $29.99 because the technician was unable to change it in a regular manner, unlike the last time I had Mr. Lube complete the task, I was given a $10.00 discount for my time and I was on my way. I did let it be known to the technician that I didn’t approve of the policy that I am subject to pay more dependent on the skill/training (time required) of the select technician and requested a method to provide feedback regarding the policy, which I was given with the comment “that will get me in trouble, though. Upon leaving, I felt it was necessary to call back and let the technician know that my comments should not leave him in guilt or ruin his day as I was the first vehicle of the morning and I simply wanted to confirm my issue was with the policy, not his lack of effort.
  
  My first stop, approximately an hour following my visit, was at a Subway, where I quickly noticed in the reflection of the glass window, my running light, which I was told was replaced and functioning was not functioning. I called in and was told I would receive a call in the future, which I have still not received.
  
  This morning, my first stop was my mechanics garage where I requested that my rear differential fluid be checked as referred by Mr. Lube. After getting my truck on hoists, they quickly declared that fluids were full, both the rear, and then the front, to double check.
  
  So here I am today, leaving a negative comment about Mr. Lube (McPhillips). Despite their technician and manager being sympathetic, I feel lied to and cheated. I felt it was in my best interest to accept my loss of trust, loyalty and money, to Mr. Lube and attempt to save another from such a risk.
  
  I am uncertain if my situation was brought on by poor salesmanship, poor training, or poor company policy, but I will never take another vehicle to any Mr. Lube location again.
